Best of MySpace blogs part 1: Squirrel Spies!

Originally posted July 20, 2007

Iran arrests squirrels for spying. Yes, you heard me. SQUIRRELS. And I also said ARRESTED.
I've heard of animals being used in military operations, but squirrels? How could anyone honestly think that they'd be used as spies? I don't know if it makes me more or less afraid that they honestly believe squirrels were spying on them. I mean, that's pretty paranoid. But it's also thoroughly ridiculous.
But my favorite part of that article is the "man on the street" who says that the squirrels must be British because British squirrels "are the most cunning." WTF? "Cunning" should never be used to describe squirrels. "Cute" sure. "Annoying" why not? But "cunning?" These are animals that can easily be caught by putting peanut butter in a rat trap! "Cunning" my ass! I guess they'll save money on counter-intelligence...all they'd need is a pile of nuts underneath a box held up by a stick tied to a piece of string!
